Saturday Style: 5 Fashion Substacks We Love
And we think you'd love, too.
Hi!
When it comes to shopping, we’re a little obsessed. But you already knew that. And since you’re here, you might be a little obsessed, too. And that’s a good thing—because it means you’re in the right place.
When it comes to looking for fashion and style inspiration, there’s no shortage of content. I bet we’re all doing the same things—switching from Reels, to Pinterest, to TikTok, and back (because that’s what the weekend is for, right?). But one platform we absolutely love is Substack—pure, unfiltered, fashion fun, straight to our inboxes. Substack is an awesome, underrated platform for new discovery, community building, and in-depth commentary. Whatever niche you’re into, you can find a creator who shares your passion on Substack.
Whenever we’re in a style rut, need a change of pace, or are curious to see what trends are new and bubbling, we like to hop on Substack and see what’s going on there (it’s where we find some of our best pieces and styling tips, TBH!). From our inbox to yours, we wanted to share some of our favorite creators with you!
Ilana’s Substack by Ilana Torbiner

Ilana knows what’s good. She consistently has some of the best recs (across clothes, bags, skincare, and more) and she never gatekeeps. We love her tips for wedding guest attire, vacation packing, and wearable, everyday basics and investment pieces. Her style is timeless, classic, and always chic. We’d love to shop her bag collection on SECONDSENSE!

NEVERWORNS by Liana Satenstein

This Substack is FUN! It’s filled with stuff you never knew you needed but now you have to have. But it’s never about over-consumption or shopping for the sake of shopping. Liana, a former Senior Fashion Writer at Vogue, is super intentional and always picks interesting and unique pieces you’ll want to keep forever and ever. She talks a lot about how to style pieces already in your closet (she has a whole YouTube series where she interviews super stylish people about their “never worns”) and always advocates for shopping secondhand. We’re kind of obsessed.
Outfit Notes by Molly Hippolitus

Reading Outfit Notes feels like getting ready with a friend. We love Molly’s taste—cool, effortless, and totally polished but never ever fussy. And one of the best parts? Her bag collection is simply to die for. We love the way she mixes vintage and contemporary pieces to create cool, wearable looks to take you from pilates to the office to dinner. Lots of fun inspo here.
If you love Molly’s style, you might like this bag available on SECONDSENSE now—heavily inspired by her PVC Chanel tote.
Driving Shoes by Taylor Barnett

Taylor Barnett has her finger on the pulse. We’re completely obsessed with her series “Things Niche Luxury Chic Girls Are Obsessed With.” She has a curatorial eye and a refined and eclectic taste. We always either 1. learn about a new brand or 2. add something to our wishlist after reading her newsletters. Plus, she loves vintage and secondhand just as much as we do. A must follow.
Unpolished by Courtney Grow

Two words to describe Courtney Grow: fun and fabulous. She makes us laugh, gives the best high/low fashion styling tips, and always surprises us with something fresh. Her shopping edits are seriously some of the best. We’d love to raid her closet (and see what she loves on SECONDSENSE!).
If we had to pick a bag for Courtney, we think she’d love this silver Bottega Sardine Tote for her next getaway.
Have a favorite fashion Substack we missed? Let us know! We always love a good rec.
Thanks for supporting SECONDSENSE and we’ll see you soon! x
