SECONDSENSE Hits the Vogue Vintage Market: A Must-Go for Fashion Lovers

At SECONDSENSE, we live for a good vintage find. So once we heard the Vogue Vintage Market was coming to New York, we knew we had to check it out.

What is the Vogue Vintage Market?

Hosted in SoHo on March 29, this one-day-only event brought together iconic vintage pieces from the closets of fashion’s elite. Imagine your typical closet cleanout or estate sale, curated by some of the most stylish people in the fashion industry. Vogue called on stars like Gigi Hadid, Emma Chamberlain, and Kaia Gerber to handpick vintage gems, and brands Louis Vuitton, Khaite, and Coach donated pieces straight from their collections.

How iconic is this Dior dress?

Shopping With Purpose

The Vogue Vintage Market wasn’t just about scoring an archival piece—100% of proceeds went to the Entertainment Community Fund to support those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. Shoppers embraced the event’s charitable spirit and shopped the event knowing that their money was going toward a good cause. Even Gigi Hadid couldn’t resist snagging a few iconic pieces—including a John Galliano slip dress once worn by Anna Wintour at the 1996 Met Gala. Anything for a good cause, of course.

While shopping the floor, this 2024 Louis Vuitton sample caught our eye. Wonder who the lucky buyer was!

The Ultimate Secondhand Score

For secondhand enthusiasts, the Vogue Vintage Market was a chance to own a piece of fashion history. Whether it was an item sourced from a celebrity closet or a designer piece with storied provenance, every item at the market had a unique past. And for those who couldn’t make it in person, an online Vogue Vintage Market collection made sure that fashion lovers everywhere had access to the goods.

Phoebe Philo Chloé is always a good choice.

How to Shop Secondhand Smarter

Simply put, secondhand shopping is exciting. Outside the Vogue Vintage Market, people waited in line all morning just for the chance to buy something they felt they couldn’t get elsewhere. The Vogue Vintage Market wasn’t just a see-and-be-seen pop-up—it was a testament to the staying power of sustainable fashion.

With SECONDSENSE, you can track the re-sale market in real time. We make it easier than ever shop smarter, save money, and find timeless treasures—no long lines or exclusive events necessary.

For all fellow vintage lovers out there, we’re proud to announce a new price comparison tool—Market Price History. Simply search for the item you’re interested in to see data on exact style matches and historical sold prices to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

For instance, take this denim monogrammed Dior Saddle Bag, currently listed for $2,660.

We’ve crunched the numbers to help you determine if you should snag it immediately or if you should wait a bit for a better option.

Based on current options on the market, it’s a fairly good deal at 3.6% below the current market average. But based on historical data, it’s not the best bang for your buck. But, we won’t judge you if you absolutely have to have it.

Vogue Vintage Market Inspired Picks

We’ve rounded up a few picks – and a TikTok from our founder – inspired by the event to inspire your next secondhand bag purchase. Happy hunting!
